Dr. Joshua Sbicca, Assistant Professor of Sociology,will give the keynote address and discuss the inextricable connections between food activism and social justice. Following his talk, Q&A will be held with a panel of local organizations committed to achieving food justice in our community.
This event kicks off the 2019 Zero Waste Symposium put on by CSU Zero Waste Team and Post Landfill Action Network. This year’s “Points of Intervention Tour!” showcases a movement of people intervening at the point of extraction all the way to disposal. Resist, Redesign, Repair, Reuse, Rediscover, and Reclaim our duty in this world to fix a broken system. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.
