Our first of three Sociology Community Gatherings this fall will be a group workshop led by Dr. Jessie Luna to talk about our experiences navigating difficult topics and challenging situations in the classroom. We will share strategies and examples to help build our “toolkits” for navigating these topics and these moments. Jessie will also share resources you can draw upon in the future.

These informal conversations will be held the third Monday of each month in LSC 308-10 + via Zoom (request link from Carmen). Times will rotate to hopefully make at least one accessible for everyone. Feel free to bring your lunch and come & go as your schedule allows.

Kindly mark your calendars for October 18 from 12–12:50pm and November 15 from 1–1:50pm. If you are willing to lead a discussion or recommend a topic, please let Pete or Carmen know.
