Ph.D. student and Graduate Teaching Assistant Azmal Hossan has been selected for 2030 Climate Champions: Young Leaders for a Brighter US-China Future. This international program is a joint effort of The Asia Foundation and the China Association for NGO Cooperation (CANGO). 2030 Climate Champions are ten influential young leaders – five from the United States and five from China – brought together to empower peer learning, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cross-cultural understanding between the two countries. Together the 2030 Climate Champions form a global youth network that inspires and supports each other in developing innovative solutions to climate change. As part of the fellowship, Hossan will attend virutal training sessions and an in-person Climate Champions Forum in April 2024 in San Francisco.
