India Luxton’s dissertation research assesses the socio-political and institutional roots of high rates of COVID-19 transmission using an extended case study of the JBS facility in Greeley, Colorado. In her dissertation, she explores the impacts of federal government, state and local level governance, and firm decisions on workers.  In this presentation, she will talk about the background of her study, how she gathered data, and share preliminary findings.
