Ph.D. student Azmal Hossan’s invited commentary paper on COP27, climate justice, and planetary health has been published in PLOS Global Public Health. In “Achieving climate justice, safeguarding planetary health: Diagnosis and demands from next generation leaders for COP27 and beyond,” Hossan and his co-authors critically examine the ongoing global climate change negotiation in the form of a Conference of Parties (COP). The group of twelve emerging climate change researchers and activists from the Global South represent the Most Affected People and Areas (MAPA) and were recently interviewed by Forbes.
