Each year, CSU celebrates the teaching, research and service achievements of students, alumni and friends, academic faculty, administrative professionals and classified staff with Celebrate! Colorado State awards. This year, Jason Downing, Sociology students and the Food Bank for Larimer County were recognized as the 2021 Celebrate! Colorado State Service-Learning Award winners.

  • Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Instructional Innovation Award: Jason Landis Downing
    This award honors faculty members who demonstrate an innovative contribution to service-learning curriculum development and/or community outreach.
  • Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Student Award: Department of Sociology Students
    This award celebrates social or environmental contributions achieved through an academic service-learning course, a supervised internship or professional project, or community-engaged research.
  • Exceptional Achievement in Service-Learning Community Partner Award: Food Bank for Larimer County
    This award is in recognition of social or environmental contributions achieved through an academic service-learning course, a supervised internship or professional project, or community-engaged research.

In lieu of an in-person ceremony this year, this SOURCE article was published and awards are being mailed. Look for ours soon in our hallway!
